On Saturday, May 18th, the Sammamish Rotary set-up a booth outside each of the Sammamish Safeway entrances to collect new store-bought high-needs items. As shoppers entered Safeway, they were handed a shopping list of items that could purchase while shopping, and drop-off on their way out.
The Sammamish Rotary collected over $4,200 worth of in-kind goods during a five hour period! Donations included:
- Over 2,500 diapers
- Almost 100 packages of wipes
- 72 cans of formula
- More than 24 containers of baby shampoo
- New baby bottles, pacifiers, diaper cream, toothpaste, baby powder
- Baby equipment such as strollers, car seats, booster chairs and Pack ‘N Plays
- Plus much, much, more!
These items will be put to good use and given out quickly to the over 500 children we are serving every week!
